We need to close the doors of St Matthew’s for now.
Yet her prayerful presence continues steadily, quietly, surely with us.
We who have rested, absorbed this into us in St Matthew’s, it is now our turn.
We invite you to light a candle, still your mind and heart,
allow to arise your concerns or those for whom you are concerned.
Breathe, name them, place them here. Trust them to be held and heard.
Know yourself sustained. Be strengthened.
We are to be St Matthew’s steady, quiet prayerful presence in these uncertain times.
From Tuesday 24 March 2020 until further notice the church will be closed. There will be no public services.
